Basic Info
Dimash Kudaibergen (born 24 May 1994), is a Kazakh singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He is university trained in classical as well as contemporary music, and is known for his exceptionally wide vocal range (6 octaves+). He was brought up in a professional musical family and was trained from a young age.

Dimash does opera, pop, R&B, jazz scatting, rap, Kazakh folk music, angel, alien and dolphin, often combining genres not only in one song but in one phrase of a song. His influences are Michael Jackson, Pavarotti, Eminem, Queen, Lara Fabian and his very patriotic devotion to his homeland Kazakhstan.
Trained since the age of five when he was presented to a prestigious music academy and found to have perfect pitch. His parent are stars in their own right - Mom in opera and Dad in pop. He was offered a permanent position in the Astana Opera Company and declined to invent his own unique style of music.
He holds degrees in both classical and contemporary music and I think just recently completed his doctorate in musical composition. He speaks fluently in Kazakh and Russian and is learning Mandarin and English. He sings in 12 languages and plays multiple instruments. He dances well and is handsome enough to have done modeling and is on last month's cover of GQ in Kazakhstan. He has a red belt in taekwondo and is a swimmer.
He does so much charitable work that he is considered a cultural ambassador for Kazakhstan and was honored by their president on his recent 27th birthday. He has partnered with Michael Kors to combat world hunger.
He doesn't just sing, he creates performance art with every appearance. So when record companies try to pigeonhole him in a specific genre he politely and firmly says no. He is already world famous and when he did his first American concert at the Barclay Center in NYC (available on You Tube) people flew in from 140 countries and from all over the US to hear him. The West is a bit slow to catch on because his introduction was delayed by Covid last year. Prepare for the musical ride of your life, astonishment at every turn.
His fans are called Dears because he is constantly acknowledging how dear to his heart his fans are and how much he appreciates them. He is amazingly humble and aware of the trappings and stumbling blocks of celebrity and already is planning when he can just be another member of a concert audience and a teacher. Extraordinary in every way.

The Singer 2017
Dimash rose to fame in China with his participation as a "wildcard competitor" in Hunan TV's The Singer 2017 when he was 22, all the other participants were older & famous/well-established Chinese singers. The morning following his first performance [of SOS] his life changed when he got 600 Million hits on Weibo (the Chinese Twitter/Instagram,) and he needed security guards from then on.

Samal Tau
Samal Tau is an old historical folk Kazakh song and tells the story from the First World War. The name of the author is not known. Kazakhstan was at that time part of the Russian empire. The Russian Tsar issues a decree in 1916 the draft of Kazakhs aged 19–39 years for the army. Samal Tau is the song of these recruits. The place where they came from was called "Samal Tau" in the North Kazakhstan region.

Samal Tau
Samal Tau is an old historical folk Kazakh song and tells the story from the First World War. The name of the author is not known. Kazakhstan was at that time part of the Russian empire. The Russian Tsar issues a decree in 1916 the draft of Kazakhs aged 19–39 years for the army. Samal Tau is the song of these recruits. The place where they came from was called "Samal Tau" in the North Kazakhstan region.
