Update from the house of Plague (Day 115 Year 2)

And since I got my 2nd jab today (waiting for side-effects to kick in), a lovely thing:


Yes I know I just got better from covid, but we are going abroad (hopefully!) and it's been 8 weeks since my 1st. Don't worry, we consulted with health officials. But my arm hurts. (I remember that part from the 1st shot, oh yes.)

Also I can almost smell & taste again. This is all very exciting.

Daily Dimash: Jasmine Flower

I don't really go looking for Dimash songs, youtube or Dears [in reaction video comments] suggest them, which is nice. It's a steady diet of loveliness just served up without me having to do a thing. This one I had never heard of before, but it's lovely and holy harmonies Batman...

Dimash and Wu Tong sang a duet performing "Jasmine Flower" at the BTV New Years Gala (also called the Spring Festival Gala) in China in 2018. The subtitles were created from a combination of many online translation sources, research and some poetic license.

The staging is... I don't even know. Um, maximalist somehow seems an understatement.



First came across the song thanks to this video, which has this note/explanation:

Dimash is the China-Kazakhstan cultural ambassador. Enjoy his performance of Jasmine with the Silk Road story as the backdrop (I am not sure what the movie is, I'll look it up... later.)

Well I feel crap now, so it's definitely doing something...

Some people with lingering effects from catching COVID have found that getting vaccinated after catching COVID helped reduce their lingering effects.
And yes, I know people for whom this was the case. Which is definitely a good thing!

The effects of the 2nd shot pretty much the same as the 1st so far, so I'm feeling pretty grotty. But hey, it's a small price to pay. :)

Side effects after the first currently the same as after the first - feeling grotty & arm v painful. But hey ho, it's worth it. :)
