What a difference a year makes...
And it's clearly a good date for toppling statues:

Daily Dimash 15: Across Endless Dimensions
And now for something completely different: A music video! It's the theme song for the sci-fi movie 'Creators: The Past'. More about the song/movie below the cut (the usual story: delayed due to covid), but the video is just utterly gorgeous (ditto the music/lyrics).
So much so that when Lee offered to make me a new banner I wanted to use an image from the video as the basis. I then added basically all my OTPs, but (because I am me) I chose hand-images to represent them. (How many can you name? *g* Also it's... kind of an in-joke, because Dimash uses his hands so much when signing. The expressiveness of hands is incredible, and the camera will often follow his hands to see what they're doing! *g*) Banner added to both LJ & DW, but you can also see it here. Plus 'Across Endless Dimensions' seemed a nice summary for the sheer breadth of my shows, and to me it's like Dimash is singing their songs. (Incidentally I have no idea why the thumbnail for the video looks like it does - the image is from the performance of a completely different song.)

Movie/song info. With many thanks to a Dimash Dear from the comment section to a reaction video, who wrote down all this information (with links!), so I just have to copy & paste:
- This song is the soundtrack for an Italian science fiction film called "Creators - The Past" starring William Shatner, Gerald Depardieu and Bruce Payne ... The premiere was due to take place in March 2020 but has been postponed due to the pandemic. The premiere of this film in Italy took place on October 8, 2020.
- Director Piergiuseppe Zaia composed the song (it's the theme song, to play over the end credits) as well as the rest of the soundtrack (he is a musician first, movie making is a new undertaking). A trailer for the film was released in January 2019. The video was released in June. Zaia was looking for the best singer in the world ... (watch the video with the interview) When he found him, he sent Dimash a demo. They had to hire 3 singers to sing the song on the demo and the soprano ended up having problems with the pitch. (I.e. only Dimash can sing this song! *g*)
- This year (2021) the film was shown at the International Film Festival in Shanghai / China and promoted at the Lucca Comics & Games festival.
