Been meaning to make icons for ages, but finally got round to it today, whilst listening to the video below. My skills a v v basic, but it's fun to slap words on 100x100 pixel squares. Please help yourselves, although plz credit. <3

Look what kathyh made me!!! Isn't it gorgeous?

New default icon - isn't it gorgeous? ♥

It's an idea I've been toying with for a long time, but it's only recently that I managed to work out precisely what I wanted, and then the incomparable kathyh made my dreams come true! :) (Basically it's an attempt at summing up all the stuff I love about Doctor/River in one icon. Because even when it comes to icons I need a ton of meta underneath... *g*) The text taken from this song, which fits them beautifully, although you might know it better as: Rory Williams, Time Traveller. (Spoilers for all of S5!)

Oh, and I also changed my layout. It's all warm and red now, to match the banner (which I've been wanting to use for a while now). Anyway, must run. Sorry 'bout spamming!

Happiness is new icons! Especially when they're custom made... I am ridiculously fortunate to have kathyh, who keeps being my enabler whenever I have an idea and come running to her to make my dreams come true. :)

So now I have this fabulous First Doctor icon (the idea made me chuckle a lot and the reality is even better - his hat looks like a fez and he's wearing a scarf), as well as this wonderful Clyde one:

... And now I need to get children ready for school and then trudge through the snow. But I have pretty icons, so that makes everything better! :)

...but zanthinegirl made this icon yesterday, and it made me laugh so hard that my poor husband now fears for my sanity. (You are very welcome to snag.)

And I needed a laugh, because the more I look at the comics, the more they seem to rehash stuff we've already done. Buffy feeling isolated? Oh yes. B/A? Been there, done that. Why couldn't they have thought of something *new*? I think the castle is the problem. It removed Buffy from the everyday life that we all identified with, and we still don't know WHY! *is grumpy* I like show!canon, because that makes SENSE!

Anyway, I realised that I missed pfeifferpack's birthday, with is very bad!!! So sorry Kathleen, I hope your day was FABULOUS! *sends many belated hugs*

I also missed lillianmorgan's, which just made me sad, because I miss her still. We got our LJs within days of each other and learned to navigate fandom together, writing fic etc etc, and talking pretty much daily, until she drifted away. :(

But I need to run away again - RL is busy! (They go back to school on Tuesday! \o/)

OMG a la carte userpics!!!! I am still stunned, but (of course) instantly forked over the cash and am now drowning in teh pretty.

This icon actually reflects my state of mind very accurately. Half of me is going 'SQUEEEEEEEE!!!eleventy!!!', and the other is going 'Oh God LJ is a black pit into which I pour money for the sake of tiny little squares on a screen. Clearly I am insane!'

(Incidentally I think that clip is what made me fall in love with Amy way before the show aired (it was shown as part of the Wossy trailer) - her face!!!)

In completely different news, I bring you (via curiouswombat) MAD CAP'N TOM, quite probably the single most awesome candidate in the upcoming elections! (HE HAS POLICIES. HE HAS EXPERIENCE. HE HAS A DUCK ON HIS HEAD.)

And before you say that 'he'll never get in', I shall point you towards Jacob Haugaard, a Danish Comedian who was elected to the Danish Parliament in 1994! (From wiki: Among his outrageous campaign promises were: 8 hours of free time, 8 hours of rest and 8 hours of sleep. More tailwind on bicycle paths. Promises of better weather. Right to impotency. Nutella in field rations (was actually implemented). Shorter queues in supermarkets.) I also remember 'more sex in school staff rooms'. Oh! And he used his whole campaigning budget on a giant barbecue in a park, to which he invited 'everyone'. :)

And now I HAVE to run, 'cause I have a few hours ENTIRELY TO MYSELF and have to go be extremely busy!
