Trump actually makes me nostalgic for the kinder, gentler days of Dubya. And I HATED Dubya. I thought he stole both elections, and I about hurled when I saw that picure of him in a flight suit (with a rolled-up sock in the pants) on an aircraft carrier, taking credit for some success in the Iraq war.
Yes! Which is completely horrifying but in comparison, Bush was just your dumb ass racist uncle- loud and annoying but ultimately harmless. Rapist McCheetoh, OTOH...
On the other hand, shut up, Clara, you have a time-machine now, you can skip it! (cries)
(Mental image of Clara on the diner-Tardis, wanting to drop by and visit home for a change.) “So, Me? 2016?” “No.” “2017?” “No” “…2018?” “Nope.” “Are you sure you remember this correctly?” “Yes. Skip it.” “Seriously? What happened? I have people there, you know! Okay, when do things get good again?” “Uuuuuh…” “Christ!” “I know.” “Okay, here’s the plan: we drop by at Christmas, leave everybody presents Santa-style, we go to 3040. Cool?” “Cool.”
Speaking of the past on the other hand, ANNIVERSARY!
Come on, do both of us a favour and read Phoenix Unbound. Pleaaaaase? (tries for a cute face but is just sexy as hell as per usual. joking)
"Doctor Who: Phoenix Unbound" -> the first result you get. Or add "deviantart" if you prefer that form.
On the other hand, given the present situation, you may prefer some levity! (Of questionable kind and taste because I'm me). "Doctor Who: In which Gallows Humor is exploited"
Just one, you won't regret it <3 If you have time. (But they're short!)
Speaking of the past on the other hand, ANNIVERSARY! I can't even remember my own LJ anniversary, so well done you!
Right, I've re-book-marked Phoenix Unbound, and been rather stunned by "Doctor Who: In which Gallows Humor is exploited". I did not think it would be possible to write humour out of the Doctor dying, but that's brilliant. And Three is a stroke of genius. Plus, the underlying horror below it all is extremely well realised!! *applauds muchly*

and been rather stunned by "Doctor Who: In which Gallows Humor is exploited". I did not think it would be possible to write humour out of the Doctor dying, but that's brilliant. Thank you very much! I write good inner monologues, and 12 does have a dark sense of humour. And well, it’s exactly that: it was just a random thought and I was like “Hm. I’m weird and kind of sick. But can this work? Fic…? Challenge accepted.” As I put it on fanfictionnet: “Wasn't that episode amazing? Yes, yes it was. But while fic can still be moving (I hope), everything can be made funny; nay, everything can be made ridiculous if you try hard enough. EVERYTHING. Observe, beautiful readers.”
And Three is a stroke of genius. Plus, the underlying horror below it all is extremely well realised!! *applauds muchly* If you use a Doctor in this situation, you use 3. Because the look, the references, the influence, the similarity of characters and worldviews, etc. Plus, he had great interactions with other selves in multi-Doctor events, and the circumstances here give him a logical incentive to complain! Like, EXCUSE YOU, I’m supposed to be your inspiration? This is very brave and all, I'll give you that, but what, what, what are you doing. I disapprove. Also, I have found –and it works very well with DW– that things can be made hilarious when a character stubbornly ignores the genre he’s supposed to be in. 12: I AM DYING DRAMATICALLY IN AN EPISODE FULL OF EXISTENTIAL HORROR AND EXTRAORDINARY SUBLIMITY OF CHARACTER 3: This is a very interesting situation!...Also, I’m going to nag you about your fashion sense and show off my cool martial arts moves. You’re doing it wrong.
(But they agree on the important things, and it becomes quite moving too :) Favourite detail or quote?)
