So, new Spike comic and what do you know? I have meta! :) It’s been a while, so let’s see how I do? *flexes Buffy meta muscles* Oh yeah, like writing a bike! I’m going to do this with lots of subheadings, so people can pick and choose what part they want to read. Although there is some s8 snark scattered throughout. Sorry. I have issues.

Oh! I forgot to talk about the 'aerial sex' joke. As people have noted it comes out of nowhere, doesn't fit with anything and is pretty pointless. Much like the aerial sex itself then.

Also RL is actually pretty busy at the moment, plus it's my birthday tomorrow, so I might be a little slow in replying to comments. But I always get there in the end.

I honestly thought that this Tory campaign poster was a joke when I first saw it. Well, I guess it's nice that they're not beating around the bush anymore. (Great Britain: The Empire of Political Fail.)

Onto comic related fail - see Gab's post for more info and a most excellent rant! (And to think that I was worried that *s8* was going to destroy Spike's character. I am exceedingly grateful that I stopped reading after Lynch left!)

Posted my review of issue 2 of AtF over on angel6_atf, if anyone wants to read it.

First of all, please do admire this gorgeous new icon.

It came about because Brian Lynch (writer of the Spike comic books and 'Angel: After the Fall') is getting married, and Chris Ryall (Publisher/Editor-in-Chief IDW Publishing) got him *the* most amazing present! (Spoilers for the various comics I guess, but...) Then stormwreath manipped the icon (there are two more if you follow the link). :)

ETA: Lynch's response: I just want to point out that this may be the first time a wedding present has been turned into a homoerotic avatar. Except, you know, if someone gave someone else a book of homoerotic avatars as a wedding present.

In other comic-related news, beer_good_foamy wrote the brilliantest s8 Dawn crack!fic: Let's Sing "Dawn Is A Giant" In D Minor. (This Kenny guy is a complete blank - but what if he was someone we knew already? Keep liquids away - trust me!)

And now to another kind of crack!fic... Thanks to molly_may here is a link to the shortlist for the Bad Sex Awards. Know how porn can be really awkward to write? Well here are some who failed abysmally - but still got published! (You will need a mindwipe afterward reading! ::shudders:: It makes bad!fic look *good*...)

Oh and shapinglight wrote Road Trip which features great Buffy & Cordy bonding. :)

You might have worked out that I am looking forward to 'Angel: After the Fall'... what you didn't know is that I (and a few kind souls that I talked into joining me in my madness), decided to set up a community dedicated to all things AtS S6: angel6_atf. Basically I'm hoping that it can be the one-stop place for all things relating to the new comics. But for that to happen we need people to join, and then share everything they find/create!

Oh and you could of course also pimp! Pretty please?

(I promise that now I will concentrate on part two of 'AYW + One' - when I get some spare time that is...)

Here we go again... page by page squee. There might be some actual thoughts hidden inbetween the rest, we’ll see. And be warned that this issue hit a lot of my kinks. Not ‘kinky’ ones you understand, just stuff that makes me bounce with glee.

There is not enough squee in the world to express my joy over 'Shadow Puppets 3'. A total delight from first to last page. There will be fawning as soon as I have some time...
