[Good Omens] Aziraphale & Crowley - Past Lives

Edit about the many lives of Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and Crowley (David Tennant). There are many details to notice in the video, and each crossover choice has been thoroughly thought about! Try to find out why all these characters are matching together, or tell me which dynamics you would have chosen instead!

I am speechless. The editing & matching of clips is on another level. You don't really need to know anything about Good Omens to appreciate it, it's basically a love-letter to David Tennant & Michael Sheen.

This started out as a short list for joking, and then grew to the point where I thought - OK, I'll just make a proper post. This is not a comprehensive list, and I'm *sure* I've forgotten plenty, but these are the ones that I fell in love with, and kept.

The way I've done it to rec vidders, linking to their sites/tags/whatever, and then pointing out which vids are my personal favourites - hoping that you'll check out all the rest too, since tastes invariably vary! :)

I miss my show!!!!! Just watched a wonderful, wonderful vid (based around NFA and with an instrumental track, which works so, so well), that made me ache inside for what we lost. yourlibrarian has it uploaded here (She doesn't know who made it btw...).

But I miss my show. I think I need to get out my DVDs tonight.

Originally rec'd by sdwolfpup (when a vidder recs a vid, it's good to pay attention...) I downloaded out of curiosity. And OMG!!!1!!11!!!! I am *so* in awe of this vid! It's almost like a fic, in that it builds an AU where Spike and Cordelia are connected... oh, I don't know how to describe it, just go watch. It is so well made that it left me literally slack-jawed the first time - and still does now after many viewings. The cutting is so incredibly well done, that you'd swear they were in the same room! If you only watch one vid this year, let this be the one!

( And then I had a couple of thoughts about Buffy, Doctor Who and Firefly. Very short. Not spoilery. )

curiouswombat tagged me for the 5 songs meme, saying that I had interesting tastes in music (that's what comes from sending someone 'The Elk Polka'). ;)

Anyway, at first I didn't really know what to choose, since I don't tend to listen to song 'by themselves' - I'll just put an album on and listen to the whole thing. But then I realised that I've been listening to a lot of songs from vids lately, so I'm going to do a sort of combined meme and pimp!

List five songs that you are currently digging... it doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they're any good but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. 1. 'Red Oyster Cult' by Guster. Great song and an excellent Willow vid by sdwolfpup about Willow's 'seduction' by magic (and Rack).

2. 'Exile' by Enya. I'm not usually one for Enya, but this is a truly gorgeous song. This one also by sdwolfpup - a Firefly Mal/Inara vid. Beautiful and heartbreaking.

3. 'Superstar' by Tegan and Sara. Fascinating song, that's utterly, utterly perfect for heres_luck's incredible Faith vid. Go watch it now!

4. 'Being Nobody' by Richard X Vs Liberty X . I have a thing for pure pop, and this song presses all my buttons. Also a good Spuffy vid by Cybermintz.

5. 'Blood of me' by Heather Nova. A rather odd song that it took me a while to like, but now I love it. Gorgeous S6 Spuffy vid by heres_luck.

Well, I promised spikefan to make a vid-rec post, so here it is. Not particularly long or anything, but then I'm fairly new to this whole vidding business. Also I *try* not to spend too much time on fandom stuff, since RL is getting more demanding at the moment, but hopefully this list will be enough for now:

It seems like a great deal of my flist is not feeling very happy at the moment, so since I can't actually show up on the doorstep with ice cream and a bottle of wine, I thought I'd rec a few things that have cheered me up lately:

Vids:
sdwolfpup has just made one of the most wonderful vids ever. The song is 'La Resistance' from 'South Park, The Movie', so make sure no one young, impressionable or easily offended is close by when you watch. Quite simply a gem of hilarity!

I always thought that Aqua's 'Barbie Girl' would be the perfect vidding song for BuffyBot. Thankfully, so did Cybermintz who has made the silliest and sweetest BuffyBot vid you could imagine. Along with numerous others of course, both serious and funny. The funniest (and most 'sacreligious') would be The Song Of The Count... it will forever warp how you view Sesame Street! Very naughty, but SO much fun! :)

A review:
This is from sadgeezer.com which I found ages ago. There are 'reviews' of the first 4 episodes of S7, but the Beneath You is by far the best. It's like having a slightly mental friend retell the whole episode, with little asides, and it's very good and very funny. Also it made me love the Sluggoth Demon, which is no mean feat!

I hope some of this will cheer people up a bit... enjoy! :)
