Ask me a question about one of my stories. It can be absolutely anything in any fic and I will tell you the honest-to-god answer. Don’t hold back. Ask about my plans for future parts of a current series if you want to, but keep in mind that I may not have anything firm/definite in the works. Anything. Whatever you ask, I will try my best to answer.

(Caveat: I probably won't tell you how I'm planning to end a story. Because surprises are good!)

Happy Belated Birthday annegables!!! So sorry I missed it, hope your day was great!

(The Doctor died, you see. I got a bit distracted.)

Speaking of death, then the iMac decided to commit suicide this morning. *grumbles* Darcy said that it looks fixable, but that the underlying problems are probably even worse than expected... *worries* It's not that I'm computerless, really, since we've got two laptops (one ancient and slooooow, and one new and SHINY - the latter is Darcy's though, and the two are inseparable), and the PC (which is old, but OK, except for the fact that it's a PC and every time I use it I come away loving Macs with all of my heart). Anyway, ALL MY STUFF is on the iMac, although - thankfully - I've been good about backing stuff up. Still, I am annoyed now, and worried about my lovely, gorgeous Mac, which I *adore* even though it's getting a bit peculiar.

What else? (Since apparently I'm rambling away...) Oh yes, the girls watched the EoT (part 2) Confidential this morning, and warmed a bit to Matt Smith since he's in it a little. It has to be said that he appears to be incredibly nice and charming in RL. :)

Finally, I shall jump on the meme bandwagon (even though I've still got comments to reply to and fic to finepolish - thank goodness for gmail!):

Had a very lovely Bonfire Night last night, with a bonfire, and fireworks, and sparklers, and sausages and jacket potatoes and Darcy's chili stew! (Does any other country in the world eat their dinner OUTSIDE in November, wearing big coats and boots and gloves? My adopted country is WEIRD. Weird, but wonderful.) The Cherub told me that in pre-school they'd heard the story about 'Guy Forks' who 'blowded up a building and made a tunnel under the ground.' We tried to explain that he'd only *tried* to blow 'the building' up, but I'm not sure she got it. 4 year olds like explosions. *g*

In other RL news my parents have just left (I love them, but it is always nice when guests leave, y'know?), but Darcy has decided to work from home so I won't get much (if any) writing done, which is horribly frustrating since my fic is *finally* beginning to behave. (It's been impossible for... 3 months now?) ANYWAY, since I'll be stuck with the laptop, I thought I could try a meme:

There is - not surprisingly - a lot of talk about Prop 8 going on today. All I'll say is that clearly Californians should sit back and wait for the eighteen thousand gay marriages that are still valid to DESTROY SOCIETY. Because that's what they do, right? (This is still my favourite Prop 8 story bar none, and shows better than anything else that sooner or later justice & common sense will prevail.)

ETA: And what do you know? Ted Olson goes to court on behalf of gay marriage.

Finally, in case someone missed it, I posted chapter 8 of My Immortal the other day. (The next chapter might take a little longer, what with Christmas and such.)

ETA: Review of Twilight (the movie), in the Guardian. Not positive. A snippet: If only Meyer had taken Buffy as her template. If only she had used that groundbreaking series as her foundation and built on it. If only there was a Whedonesque intelligence and modern, feminist sensibility informing Twilight and its successors. If only.
