So, the singer posted the actual lyrics (which were reversed for the final track). You're welcome (you didn't want to be emotionally functional today, did you?):

Sing the days of love

Softly lay me down

Tenderly the night will come

In your sweet embrace

Sing the days of love

Softly lay me down

Tenderly the night will come

Gently lay me down

Source: LOTS of requests for this, finally fulfilled. This is me singing the bare-bones, original audio track Murray Gold used for MISSY’S THEME in series 9 of Doctor Who. <- you can listen to the original song!

A prequel or fill-in-the-blank set prior to World Enough and Time. Missy-centric. Go read, it's extremely funny (and poignant too!).

ETA: Now also on AO3!

My ten year old daughter has started learning the violin.

Yesterday she brought it home. (It's not hers, it belongs to the school.) She practised enthusiastically for 3 hours...

In much better news, I had THE most awesome dream last night. It's difficult to remember specifics, but in short, Missy was my mother. I can't begin to explain how brilliant it was.
