See the bad crack is why I wrote s8 out of my now meager comic budget. I just can't stand seeing the characters abused that way.
I get my crack from DC which occasionally has some cracktacularly good story lines. The Superman/Batman (yes there really is a slash in the title, yes there is enough UST to require it.) issue where Superman gets stoned on silver cryptonite is a recent favorite. It had no bearing on the rest of the storyline of that arc. It was fabulous.
ps: I haven't read the newest A:AtF, so please no references.

And I hope you enjoy A:AtF when you get there. I thought it was brilliant (except for most of the artwork).
