I was planning on spending most of today online, except our internet just plain refused to work. And then I had to take the kids out to the park and so forth. However, IT IS NOW WORKING OMG! *hugs LJ tightly*

(I haven't had any time to myself for... two weeks. At least. So this is like heaven. Darcy has been rushed and busy and UNWELL and this past week my parents have been visiting. Plus I've been working. It is now time for hot chocolate.)

I might proceed to spam you a lot. For now I shall point you towards to lovely vids:

With government ministers reportedly considering a negative ad campaign to deter potential immigrants from coming to the UK, the Guardian asked their readers for their tongue-in-cheek suggestions for what aspects of Britain should be included in the campaign. The weather, our transport network, and our politicians were all popular suggestions - here's the best of the posters.

This one might be my favourite (I especially like the inclusion of ITV3+1):

(This is especially funny from my POV, as I originally came to England in my gap year for a three month course, and... stayed. But that's probably a story for later. However, I can see both the outsider and the British side of things, and am amused.)

Grr

OK, so the internet is still playing up. A lot. Gmail isn't working at all, and LJ is extremely spotty.

So I shall cross my fingers and toes and hope that this posts. And try to reply to people - but if I don't, then this is why.

Oh and IF it does, is there anyone out there who might be able to tell me what Florida is like? As a tourist, I mean. (For fic purposes. No need for indepth descriptions, but what are the things that stand out? Weather/food/places of interest/local customs/etc.)
