elisi: Edwin and Charles ("Did you miss me?" by dustedpixels)
The days are just flying away at the moment. Sadly they don't bring any tidiness with them, just more chaos, but then Darcy is getting lots of stuff done, like putting up the baby's cot and assembling clever storage for the children's room, which includes a slide! They've been playing on it all morning, while I've been attempting to create order. I sort of succeeded. ;)

Yesterday evening we went round to Darcy's aunt and her husband, where we were joined by more family and had a very lovely time indeed. It's fun to get dressed up, I don't do it very often.

And a big thank you to [livejournal.com profile] the_royal_anna for the card :)

Oh and - lest I forget - you should all go and read [livejournal.com profile] 12daysspillyria, which the brilliant authors are re-posting! The perfect Christmas fic. :)

The children are a bit better, although Litte Miss M still has a bit of a temperature. She was feeling very blah yesterday and came and sat on my lap while I was idly surfing LJ doing important work on the computer. We started talking about Doctor Who, so I showed her the vids I had saved (all by [livejournal.com profile] the_royal_anna, hee!) and she enjoyed them very much. Then she asked what the First Doctor was like, so we looked him up on the BBC's website and discovered that there were loads and loads of clips to watch from all the old Doctors. She then spent a very enjoyable afternoon watching them! :) At one point I asked if it was fun and she replied 'No - It was amazing!' She is *so* turning into a fangirl! Yay! :D (She's only 7, so still much too young for Buffy, but I reckon Doctor Who is a good starting place.) And did I mention that Impish Girl wanted a Sonic Screwdriver for Christmas? She has been buzzing it in people's faces for nearly a week now, which is... a trying experience! Oh and she keeps forgetting what it's called and says it's her 'Exotic screwdriver'. :)

I think that's all for now, much love to you all and have a fabulous New Year in case I don't see you before then. You've all brightened 2005 more than you could ever know. ::hugs you all::
