Good Omens: The Tumblr round-up
17 April 2020 01:31 pmIf you are wondering what is contained within my head under ‘Good Omens’: it's not just the show, or the book, or the fan fiction or the vids or even the meta. It’s… this. This enormous jumble of joy and love and creativity and queerness and beautiful drawings and acute observations and DT and MS being adorable and Neil Gaiman stepping in to confirm fan theories and gif sets and ficlets and long threads on Roman fashion and… *hands* THIS.
So, here is my third big Good Omens round-up post (all here in my memories), this one with Tumblr links!! And I know it looks like I read all of Tumblr, but honestly this is just scratching the surface. However, I a) wanted to be able to find stuff and b) figured it’d be useful for people who weren’t around during the first rush and/or who are curious what’s out there, but don’t feel like trawling through Tumblr themselves.
I have done my best to divide it up by area (it all started out as one big jumble, this took a lot of organising!), hope it makes sense to you. :)
A few things outside the cut to set the mood. First one from the very beginning:
I love how tumblr has been collectively losing its shit over good omens for the past week, it’s the great unifier, i have no idea what fandom I followed you for, you have no idea what fandom you followed me for, we’re all just reblogging the same few gifs of doctor who giving frost/nixon a bag of books, in this essay I will

To summarise:
Current status: Still ruined over Good Omens. Emotionally compromised and elated all at the same time. Still living in over six thousand years of love and the ever present, ever changing nature of humanity. The resilience and dignity and love and pain and mess and happenstance of us and the universe which is in is reflected.

The format is very simple - a brief description (sometimes my own, sometimes the poster’s, sometimes including my verdict. Basically my own key words/summary so I can remember what it is. I hope they’ll work for you too!) and a URL. Divided up into different categories, and thought I'd cut tag them individually. :)
