Well...

LJ is still not working for me. At all. Like, I can't even get the status page up.

Since part of my plans for today were to catch up on all comments, that's a bit of a bummer. :( Plus I can't see any birthday wishes. (Presuming there are any! But I know that other people are more organised than I am.) I WILL get to them, promise. When LJ will let me back.

I was also going to post another chapter of George today, so am hoping very much that LJ will come back before tonight...

So far I've got a new pair of slippers, Mad Max: Fury Road - never saw it in the cinema! :( - and Barnaby (!!!!!) (my mother owns an ancient copy, and I grew up with it, but now I have my own!) and some lovely cards from my co-workers.

I think there'll be a family 'do thing tonight... (I share my birthday with my sister-in-law <3)

Had a lovely afternoon/evening - went out shopping w/birthday money/vouchers and got a lovely burgundy winter coat (SO WARM) which I've needed for years.

Then went round to my in-laws and had a v. nice time with all the family, and got more cards, a beautiful bracelet with blue stones, Ferrero Rocher and a bit more money. There were lots of cute kids and pizzas and a birthday cake and good company. :)

ETA: Also Happy Belated Birthday to a_phoenixdragon! I never realised your birthday was on Back to the Future Day!! Hope it was awesome.
