Work update.

Realised that I've not actually written anything about my new job. Basically I like it very much. I have nice, supportive coworkers, a friendly work environment, the work itself is interesting, varied and challenging, and I'm beginning to get my head around it, which is good.

The only downside is how much it cuts into my LJ time and all the half-finished fic/meta languishing on my hard drive... But that's life. I'll get there. :)

Work update.

Because I totally called it.

So, looking back on 'old' stuff can be very satisfying...

On the 12th of June I wrote this:

( Spoilers for the S6 finale )

And speaking of predictions, I wrote this 5 days later (17th of June):

River is TOTALLY [going to be] the Spike of the Whoniverse.

I can feel it coming (and it's already here in some respect):

River fans: Disgruntled that her whole story revolves around the Doctor.

River haters: Disgruntled that the whole show revolves around her story.

There will be meta. (Its half-written already, and oh, the parallels are *glorious*. Effulgent, even.)

Anyway, this is what I've been saying for ages re. Moffat: Follow the metaphors, and they'll see you through. <3

ETA: Oh, and there will also be a post (mostly consisting of quotes) about how the Doctor and Rover are like Peter Wimsey and Harriet. Really, it's downright embarrassing the extent to which I always fall for the same couple... My kinks, they are consistent.
