Fic: What Torchwood needs, right now, is a Doctor!

So, ‘Exit Wounds’ broke my heart. This fic is my attempt at patching it back together a tiny bit. I know it’ll be jossed, but I don’t care - this is almost more like a love-letter to the show, the characters and the Who-niverse in general. And I also wanted something I sincerely doubt we’ll never get in canon - for the Doctor to guest star on Torchwood for Torchwood’s sake, for his story to fade to the background and be subservient to their needs.

(I swear I’ll bring you more of my WIP asap, but I *needed* to write this. I'm sure you can see why!)

Genre: Crossover, character-study, angst, humour.
Pairings: Mostly gen, with a small side-helping of Jack/Ianto.
Characters: Tenth Doctor, Donna, Jack, team Torchwood.
Rating/Spoilers: PG-13 (some swearing & innuendo). Spoilers for ALL of Torchwood. No spoilers for S4 of DW (except for identity of companion).
Summary & setting: The Doctor and Donna visit Torchwood sometime post ‘Exit Wounds’.
Word count: 5380 words.
