Fic: Ianto Jones and Torchwood’s Number One Enemy

I know it is April 1st, but I'm afraid that I have no stunt to pull. I *do* however have fic - a one-off that quite simply wouldn't let me be until I had written it. Evil, evil bunny. (It's all 'Fragments's fault... *loves ep, loves Ianto, loves show*)

Summary: Um, what the title says? Sort of a character study I guess.
Setting: Pre-series to post-KKBB.
Spoilers: Up to (and including) 'Fragments'.
Rating: PG-13.
Word count: 2300+ words.
Feedback: Pretty please? I've never written Ianto before, so am rather nervous. He's complicated. (This is a good thing of course, and is why he's interesting to write.)

I am sorry I'm so absent - I do try to skim my flist, and feel terribly guilty whenever I see a post I want to comment on but just don't have time. So I bring you a few recs...

Break My Fall by mirien3 is the best Jack/Ianto vid I've seen so far. It doesn't sentimentalise the 'ship in any way, and manages to show just how complex the characters are. (And still brings out the tenderness that we sometimes get. Oh and the song is *perfect*!)

I also discovered antelope_writes, who writes some of the most interesting Torchwood meta that I've found. She has one, two, three posts about body language, and then analyses the date scene in KKBB and the Owen & Ianto scene in A Day in the Death. Enjoy! :)

Oh, and I posted the final part of Mrs Saxon's Diary the other day. (In case someone missed it?)
