elisi: Edwin and Charles (Darla haunted by kathyh)
Hello! I'm still here, just in lurker mode. Hopefully I'll get round to a 'proper' update at some point!

Our S1 re-watch is continuing - don't have much to say about 'The Pack' except NB is very good and the big difference between Hyena!Xander and ordinary being-a-jackass-Xander lies in the fact that Xander can do/say awful things, but they're usually in reaction to something else or he's lashing out because he's hurting. Xander doesn't do calculated cruelty.

Watched 'Angel' last night and DB must have been getting some acting lessons, because he's very watchable. And of course Darla finally gets interesting before they kill her off... (how I love this 'verse where characters never stay dead!). Not many thoughts, but what there were decided to turn into a little 250 word drabble set near the end (sort of a FitB I suppose, not that anything happens):

[livejournal.com profile] moscow_watcher has written a wonderful alternate FitB between the end of 'Chosen' and the beginning of 'Conviction': Curtain Call. Quite short but *very* enjoyable!! :D

On a completely different note, [livejournal.com profile] redeem147 has written an extremely poignant Buffy fic, set pre-series: Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of.

[livejournal.com profile] lafemmedarla has posted lots of pretty AtS icons here. Because we all need more icons! ::nods::

Which is why you should also check out [livejournal.com profile] engravedheart's Buffy verse icon post! Go on, you know you want to.

I'm sure I've forgotten loads of stuff, but I had a random thought the other day. I read an article in which G K Chaesterton's 'The Man Who Was Wednesday' was mentioned (and I really should read his stuff - someone give me more time and a library!). What caught my eye was the fact that the main bad guy is called Sunday and is some kind of manifestation of people's greatests fears or something (transcribing from memory here, so go easy on me...). And y'know any reason for that name is always of interest.

But I must go and get the children out of the bath and into their comfy little beds! See y'all later. :)

ETA: Just remembered! One of the topics on Thursday's 'Mastermind' will be BtVS. (8.30 PM, BBC2)
