Good grief, when he first started talking to his dad, I was so scared for him I started crying. Big kudos to that dad, who was obviously shocked but knew what his son needed to hear. By their accents I'd say a happy ending was NOT a foregone conclusion.
My heart was in my throat, because it's such a HUGE thing... And yeah, from the accents (and his demeanor) it was obvious that he wasn't sure which way it'd go.
Although it also makes me hugely grateful for the repeal of DADT - the relief must be unimaginable.
