Obvious insight is obvious.

Torchwood was always Jack's story. (And the story of Jack's people.)

Miracle Day isn't. It's just a story that happens to have Jack in it.

(He might be pivotal to events, but so far? It's not his story. Not even close. And hey, that's fair enough, it's Rusty's show, he can do what he wants. Although it does please me how (as always) I can see him as a mirror to Buffy: 'Oh, poor little lost girl boy. She He doesn't fit in anywhere. She's He's got no one to love.')

I agree. I've enjoyed MD as an interesting and compelling story so far (though I haven't quite caught up on it yet; I've only gotten up to, oh, episode four? Or is it five? Can't remember off the top of my head.), but it just hasn't been developing Jack the way I would have liked to see. I mean, he's such a great character when he's written well, you know? It's kind of a waste to push him to the sidelines like that.

That being said, I HAVE been rather enjoying what I've seen of it.
