...so BUSY!
This morning we bought a new bunk bed for The Cherub and Impish Girl. (eBay, £95, including mattresses!) And they could deliver. Immediately. So I've spent the past several hours tidying/rearranging their bedroom... Darcy is currently putting up the new beds, and then we're off to the in-law's for 2 y.o. niece's birthday.
And when we get home there will still be MOUNTAINS OF STUFF to sort out. It'll feel wonderful once it's all done, but zomg SO much work.
Anyway, don't expect to see much of the over the next few days.

... I'm really just commenting because I just woke up and when I saw your icon I first interpreted it as River and Rory being mum and dad and then I realized... that actually made sense...

(Oh and I saw your spoiler tagged post about a broken heart - didn't read it, since I'm a spoiler phobe - and oddly enough found myself comforted by the fact that Children of Earth broke my heart more than anything else ever can hope for. So I'm kinda safe, y'know? Or maybe just weird.)

It wasn't a spoiler unless you haven't seen TIA yet. :)

And... I get paranoid, I'm afraid. Will probably have a look when I find a minute. :)

:O Good grief.
Although thanks for telling me, or I *would* have become paranoid... ;)

That's, like, the coolest idea EVER! Do it do it do it!

And the part of this that I really like is that a bunch of people last season predicted River and Rory would have to relate in the way we saw because that was the only missing link.

Seriously, though, you've said everything I was thinking without knowing I was thinking it. It's one of the (many) great strengths of Moffat's writing that he's brilliant at relating characters to each other. There is a perfect balance in the relationships between the characters here, remarkable considering you've got four such unique people. I love, too, that you don't just have River and Amy's girl thing and the Doctor and Rory's guy thing--it would have been all too easy to make them confidants in that way. I really love that they have their thing, but the confidant-pairings are River + Rory and Doctor + Amy.
I should not try to type meta-y things in class, just for the record.

Ooo, yay! Yeah, I wish I could remember where I saw it first because I totally had one of those YES, YES, THAT!! moments over it.

I'm in the middle of watching Press Gang, and it is equally brilliant in this respect. (Also, given Moff's habit of reusing things, it's impossible to watch without getting ~ideas.)

Now that is very true. I like it.

Haha! Yes, probably a good idea.

I think this is why I'm enjoying such a big team more than the Doctor-companion that's the 'normal' way of it - there's only one dynamic at play then, rather than all this lovely complexity. :)

It's just too lovely. As is my new icon, which no one will convince me I have not summoned out of the ether through the power of wanting to have it. Because apparently that is how these things work now.
