Tonight at the dinner table...

Little Miss M (nearly 7): "Daddy - can we make love in a box?"

Darcy: [speechless]

Me: "Do you mean Operation Christmas Child?"

Little Miss M: "Yes! Can we?"

Darcy: "Of course!" *cough splutter*

Suffice to say that for the next many minutes Darcy and I were helplessly giggling - and every time we looked at each other we started again.

(The project is obviously also called 'Love in a Box'...)

Daughter-dear and I finished our boxes last week, in time for our annual Shoe-box service at Church last Sunday. We are sending 120 shoe boxes from out Church via the Drop-in Ministry to Byelorusse, and Alison and Steve who drive the lorry will be starting their trip in a couple of weeks time. They like all the boxes in a few weeks before they go because they have to check that all the customs forms on the boxes are filled in and correct - bacause apparently customs here and there all check a few of the boxes at random along the way! Last year Alison and Steve alone took 1,000+ boxes out from our little Island!

I love the idea of it being Love in a Box though - must remember that for next year.

Little Miss M came home from school yesterday wanting to fill and wrap a shoebox NOW! Never mind that the only box we had was rather small and that it was too late to go anywhere to buy stuff. Patience is not one of her virtues...

Not sure where the 'Love in a Box' comes from - will have to read through the leaflet.
