Tonight at the dinner table...

Little Miss M (nearly 7): "Daddy - can we make love in a box?"

Darcy: [speechless]

Me: "Do you mean Operation Christmas Child?"

Little Miss M: "Yes! Can we?"

Darcy: "Of course!" *cough splutter*

Suffice to say that for the next many minutes Darcy and I were helplessly giggling - and every time we looked at each other we started again.

(The project is obviously also called 'Love in a Box'...)

Hee! It's a good thing you figured out what she meant! :)

LMAO

And she's probably wondering why Daddy was so slow on the uptake today.

Hee! Those heart stopping moments until you figure out what they are really asking...

You mean you didn't snatch at this opportunity to explain Things?

Laughing too hard? That's no excuse!

ROFL!

Little children can be so endearing in their way of asking something to adults , don't they ?

It's good to giggle . :)

Kids hey? Wacky little buggers?

You're a better person than me I thnk I'd have let Daddy struggle with that one for a while ;)

Oh...that's adorable. Bet you can embarrass her with that when she's older *g*.

Bwah! Poor Darcy. You could just hear his brain cells exploding like popcorn. Hee.

I love OCC (as you may remember from last year). I've already started buying stuff. Yay ponies! But I've never heard it called "Love in a Box" before. Although it sure is, isn't it?

Daughter-dear and I finished our boxes last week, in time for our annual Shoe-box service at Church last Sunday. We are sending 120 shoe boxes from out Church via the Drop-in Ministry to Byelorusse, and Alison and Steve who drive the lorry will be starting their trip in a couple of weeks time. They like all the boxes in a few weeks before they go because they have to check that all the customs forms on the boxes are filled in and correct - bacause apparently customs here and there all check a few of the boxes at random along the way! Last year Alison and Steve alone took 1,000+ boxes out from our little Island!

I love the idea of it being Love in a Box though - must remember that for next year.

Given I had no clue what she was asking, I was as baffled as he was. Hee! Glad you shared.

Speaking of sharing stuff, I thought about your entry a while back about the Sin City rental when I saw this.

Hee! The bad and wrong!
I did used to love doing the shoeboxes, though. As a stray twentysomething I haven't got the school affiliations to do it anymore, but I'll donate money to a children's charity.

The things kids say! You could turn it into an oedipal comedy or something.
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

LOL, kids, don't you just love them to bits.

I really like this shoebox idea, and am going to put it forward to our school for a project next year.

Heeee! Priceless!
