She wrote this, and then this particular bunny came back to me. A sequel to The Master Returns. Again. Title snagged from my icon. :)

Don't Mess With River Song.
So near- so very near.

Escaping, hiding, planning, working, working, working... Only the touch of a button now stood between him and-

“Touch that button and I shoot. More than enough power for both your hearts - Master.”

He turned, sneering, because he knew how this story went. (A gun in four parts, strong enough to kill a Timelord...)

“As if he’d ask you to kill.”

She smiled then; a smile he’d not expected. A smile of ruthlessness and danger.

“I’m River Song. He doesn’t need to ask.”

Still - she was the Doctor’s wife... He reached towards the button.

She fired.

Love! Great sequel. :D And I really like the length of these two pieces too. It's just enough to cut through all the fluff and get to the heart of the story. Oh, River, you're so BAMF even the Master wants to foil you.

Thank you! :) I would give my right arm to see the Master and River meet on screen. *crosses fingers* I'm actually sort-of working on a longer piece in this 'verse, if I ever find any time I'll try to finish it. (It will have to be longer, or River can't be BAMF enough!)
