She wrote this, and then this particular bunny came back to me. A sequel to The Master Returns. Again. Title snagged from my icon. :)

Escaping, hiding, planning, working, working, working... Only the touch of a button now stood between him and-
“Touch that button and I shoot. More than enough power for both your hearts - Master.”
He turned, sneering, because he knew how this story went. (A gun in four parts, strong enough to kill a Timelord...)
“As if he’d ask you to kill.”
She smiled then; a smile he’d not expected. A smile of ruthlessness and danger.
“I’m River Song. He doesn’t need to ask.”
Still - she was the Doctor’s wife... He reached towards the button.
She fired.

Actually, I talk about worrying about letting things grow too big, but it's more like any excuse to stop writing. Writing hurts!
For me, it's mostly a time issue. I have WAY too many idea, and way too little time. :(
Actually, why should I be at all surprised the the Doctor will not stop talking, even in my damn head? That's, like, the least surprising thing ever.
LOL!
I just wish he'd shut up when I'm trying to get to sleep. A gag might be in order here.
I don't mind that, to be honest. I find it rather nice to have little stories play out in my head as I go to sleep. :)
