Just wanted to say that all the growly/snarky posts on my flist about 'Soulgate' (is that the official term now?) is warming the cockles of my Spike-loving heart! :)

(Also, I've actually written Spike-loses-his-soul-fic - for the second summer_of_spike - so I feel all nostalgic too... aw, fic clichés. Except mine was good!)

Knowing absolutely nothing about the comics, and only hearing whisperings about this "soulgate" thing today, I gotta say, this sounds more than a bit like a cop-out to deal with piss-poor characterization. *shrugs* At the very least, its further solidifying my already pretty damn solid decision to stay far far away from the comics. I was so for them all initially, but then they turned out to be horribly written, and I just couldn't stick around. Pity.
