So... for the first time in forever I actually got hold of a copy of [the latest issue of] s8. And I thought I knew what to expect. I didn't. Clearly I've been repressing, because OMG IT IS SO UGLY THAT I COULD CRY! Just utterly, utterly HIDEOUS and HORRIBLE, and how can ANYONE think this is canon? The show was so *pretty*, even when it was bad. Ugh.

ETA: Also, you should read The Five Stages of Buffy Season 8! :)

In one way it makes me happy, because at least the B/A crowd don't have anything pretty to play with. *is mean and liking it*

I love the Five Stages post. Hee! I bounce between denial (as in I deny that the comics exist at all) and acceptance (because with that comes fun penguin fic).
Oh the penguins are nothing to do with the comics, so you can enjoy all the penguin AU you like without a thought to flying Slayers. *g*

Either way, it obviously has no connection to the show we watched and loved.
Which is what I've been saying since day one!
