Fox readying U.S. version of 'Torchwood'.

Mostly I just can't get my head around RTD + FOX...

(As long as they keep their grubby mitts off Doctor Who, I'm willing to sit back and see just *how* Fox'll deal with an omnisexual Time Agent. And how Rusty will deal with being told 'no'. Repeatedly. *passes popcorn round*)

ETA: Just forget all my theories. Torchwood USA is a contradiction in terms. Let's hope it all dies before it even begins.

I am much afeared about the numerous ways Fox can screw up Torchwood.
The list is endless... And as you say, they are way, way too conservative and interfering. ("You're not in Wales anymore...")

I think the estimate of 6 episodes is optimistic, and predict Fox won't pick it up once they see the pilot.
Yeah. But RTD obviously wants the genuine Hollywood experience.

I did manage to think of one possible advantage of them shooting Torchwood over here. See we've go the out of work actor over here who just happened to play opposite JB before.

That *is* an advantage indeed. And according to another rumour RTD wanted to focus more on Time Agents!!! I no longer have the snogging icon uploaded, but this one is quite delicious too. :)

Well, see we already know JB and JM can do they eye@!#$ like there is no tomorrow. With RTD writing them, they might manage to give the censors a fit. Imagine the conversations.

Fox censors: We keep telling you not to do the gay stuff.
RTD: Buh?
Fox: That scene in the hub.
RTD: They were arguing.
JM: You know they used to say the same thing when Dave and I used to get in fights on Angel. Or when Mike and I had scenes together on Smallville. Don't know where they got that idea from.
