Fox readying U.S. version of 'Torchwood'.

Mostly I just can't get my head around RTD + FOX...

(As long as they keep their grubby mitts off Doctor Who, I'm willing to sit back and see just *how* Fox'll deal with an omnisexual Time Agent. And how Rusty will deal with being told 'no'. Repeatedly. *passes popcorn round*)

ETA: Just forget all my theories. Torchwood USA is a contradiction in terms. Let's hope it all dies before it even begins.

Pretty much that. I can't imagine how this would not result in Jack having to take a sharp 180 degree turn towards the heterosexual side of omnisexual.
It'll be interesting to see if RTD is as flexible as Joss...

is there even an USian SF show with a gay male character, however minor?
Don't ask me. Of course there is Kirk/Spock, but that's just all subtexty. And RTD doesn't really do subtext. *g*

And I'm not sure if I want a Torchwood that isn't British...
As I said in another reply, this is where the finality of CoE is very handy. I'd be curious about a non-British TW. Not sure I'd *like* it, but if not, nevermind. Maybe it'll be set in the future?

Ironically some of the reactions out of the former TW fandom corner make me suddenly a lot more inclined to like it. *still fuming*

That's be nice. Not that I'd mind Jack being there, to be honest, because he can make the leap - presuming they don't tone him down.
