Twilight revealed!!!eleventy!!!
"What if I'm not the hero? What if I'm... the bad guy?" [insert constipated look]
Sorry, couldn't help myself.
*clears throat*
Seriously though... Um... Afraid there is no 'seriously'. I obviously must care on *some* level, because I'm making this post, but mostly I'm just wishing Joss would back away and let my dear slayers & vampires rest in peace. Dunno what they did to deserve this.
Anyway, what amuses me most of all is this:
Allie promised that Whedon had plans to reconcile both versions to make a cohesive Buffyverse. "I talked to Chris [Ryall] at IDW last night, and I'm going to talk to him today to reassure him that it all connects and it's all going to jibe. That's one thing we wanted to reassure him of and to make clear. This isn't going to be some big conflict with the IDW continuity. It's all going to be made to work."
So *now* they care about continuity?
Shame about the unrecognisable characters...
(I feel I ought to have something else to say, but... I just don't care. Presuming, of course, that it's not an early April-fools joke. *shrugs*)
But! Look: Cute pictures of Eleven and Amy in the show! :)

Though thinking about it, there's got to be a middle ground for DH and IDW here. Between Angel being a totally redeemed whitehat who was neve really very dark to begin with over at IDW, to him being a mass-murdering evil mastermind at DH... that can't be that difficult to reconcile, can it?

This might explain why IDW no longer put Joss's name on the covers of their Angel comics once AtF finished, though.

I've been really enjoying Angel season 5. After the Fall and Aftermath have been pretty cool. Buffy 8 has been a little all over, but I still enjoyed it. To be honest, it was what they wrote into the last comic (30) that got me really excited..

11 & Amy are adorable is what I've seen so far. OK, OK, he's not 10 and she's not my Donna, but I'm starting to bend...

XANDER: So, when you gave him my neck to chew on, why didn't you clock him before he had a chance to clock you?
ANGEL: I told you. I couldn't make the first move. I had to see if he was buying it or not.
XANDER: A-and if he bit me, what then?

I thought this sounded familiar.
FANS: Explain yourself.
JOSS: I said no.
FANS: What is the meaning of this negative?
JOSS: It means 'no'.
FANS: But the entire Buffyverse will be destroyed.
JOSS: No! 'Cos this is what I'm gonna do - I'm gonna rescue it. I'm gonna save Angel from being a pointless superhero comic, and then I'm gonna have Buffy save the Earth, and then just to finish off, I'm gonna wipe every last STINKING vampire out of the world!
FANS: But you have no plot! No competent artists! And barely any readers left!
JOSS: Yeah! And doesn't that just scare you to death?
FANS: Joss is initiating hostile action!
...of course, the Doctor's plan didn't actually work the way he thought it would.

I can not begin to fathom how they are planning on taking Angel from where he is in his current arc and making it jive with him trying to kill all the slayers and have him still be Angel. Add the 'us' to the name and it fits more, especially with all the ways Twilight has been screwing with Buffy the whole time.
Still even with my bits of bitterness over how Buffy and company treated the Fang Gang in Season 5 and AtF, I still can't see Angel's character going there. Unless they came after his kid.

Yes, it's desperate reaching from someone who refuses to accept there's any real connection between Angel and Angelus, but it's beginning to look like the only thing that makes sense.
Well, not sense. But you know what I mean.

Oyy...and the battles of Spuffy vs Bangel begins again. Screw Buffy, I just want the boys to be together. I hope to God they won't touch Spike at all !!!!
