I wouldn't say that I'm a SJA fan, since the show isn't dark enough to hold my interest, but the girls love it and I tend to half-watch along with them. And the kids *are* cute.

Of course this week I'm glued to the telly! :) DoctorDoctorDoctorDoctorDoctor! I am STARVED for Doctoryness! And the ep was very lovely indeed. Mr Smith and K-9 snarking at each other was fab (although I could have done without the girls repeating every single line!), and I loved Suspicious!Clyde, and Rani doing pretty much anything (she does Evil Glares beautifully) - and her parents are a HOOT! *loves Ghita (sp?) ENTIRELY too much*

I'm only a TINY bit grumply that SJA got a full 3rd season, and a visit from the Doctor, and Torchwood didn't, but... *deep breath* COE was AMAZING, so I'll try not to be bitter. *resolve face*

See I like SJA, but when comparing it to TW f.ex. it's like comparing S1!Buffy to S6!Buffy... S1!Buffy is sweet and utterly adorable, but I don't love her the way I do S6!Buffy. I need my heroes broken, I guess...

I haven't had time to watch the current episodes yet (they're waiting for my next day off, so sunday...) but I'm looking forward.
Well the first half was delightful! (And there was one throw-away line from Luke that had me squeeing because of Alex. Such is the perils of having AUs...)

But I'm so looking forward to the Doctor. I miss the Doctor!
I keep eyeing the clock. My withdrawal is BAD!

but I hear rumor he's going to kill my doctor! :D

I like all the character on SJA. I disliked all the TW characters-- even Jack-- by the end of season one of TW. I clearly remember asking myself why the hell I was still watching! I can take characters who do stupid, selfish things if thy have motivations that make sense-- season one made NO sense.

Fortunately season two was better, and COE rocked. I have several friends who watched COE and then rented the DVDs of season one-- universal complaint is "WTF"?? :D

Looking back, a lot of it makes more sense (Jack f.ex.) but I think it was a big mistake to leave so much as mystery. And to have misery, misery, angst, sex, bleakness and then some more misery. They really were much, much too wrapped up in 'grownup!' DW for their own good. In one of my old reviews from when it was first on I said that it was continually overdone or undercooked - you could see what they were trying to do, but a lot of the time they failed, sadly. Still, I thought that they were all *interesting* and that's what pulls me in. I *like* everyone on SJA, but... dunno. It's all just too simple. *pets them*
