Sorry I've been so lazy with the updating, but spending long days with little children isn't very good for my creativity. They've mostly been lovely though (and so has the weather!) so this isn't a complaint! I've managed to write the next chapter of 'Maybe Someday' in between everything else, but it was very slow and awkward and does need an insane amount of editing before it can be posted.

But - right now I'm getting more and more excited because the wonderful lillianmorgan is coming to visit me over the weekend. ::bounces:: It's even more exciting since she'll be the first LJ-person I'll ever meet in person. :) Prepare for long rambly posts come monday...

Since I'm here I thought I'd do a bit of pimping too:

If you haven't already, please go sign up for summer_of_spike - or if you're not the creative type make sure you friend the community to make sure you'll have a whole summer full of Spikey goodness.

Also started reading two new WIPs. Ten Years After by curiouswombat (Speakr's wife) is a Dawn-centric fic that speculates on how her life turned out ten years after Sunnydale. Have a look, it'll be worth your while! frimfram has just started posting her first fic (although she is ridiculously accomplished and she writes absolutely beautifully) The Other Side of the Tracks. It's Spike and Dru just after his turning, with a promise of Arthur Conan Doyle in future chapters! Just go read!

Hi Elisabeth, glad to know that you're fine. And I imagine that days with little children can take your energy ; it is also this time of the year where it's nice to be outside!

I don't remember how old are your children? I suppose your little girls go to school yet ? My youngest , Alexandre ( 13) doesn't stop until the 24th June.

I was delighted that summer_of_spike was there for a second year. Did you sign up?

I guess the problem is that there's not a lot to write when things are going well - which is good really! :)

And I *love* summer - I don't like it too hot, but I'll take it over rain and chill any day. Only now of course half my clothes don't fit...

Little Miss M is 6 1/2 and in Year 1. School doesn't actually stop until the end of July - this is just their summer-halfterm. Impish Girl is 3, but will be 4 on the 19th! Must plan party...

And yes I've signed up for summer_of_spike - I remembered an old, dusty little plotbunny. It'll be interesting to see where it goes.

And it sounds like you'll have a most enjoyable train ride! frimfram's fic is especially good - her writing reminds me mostly of bogwitch I think. Very rich and descriptive.

summer_of_spike was huge fun last year. I haven't actually signed up to do anything creative but I'll be commenting like mad *g*. Off to check out the fic recs.

What would be the point of all the writing etc if there was no one to read it? Have no idea how I'll fit in reading and writing (because yes, I signed up!), but I'll work something out... enjoy the recs. They're brilliant!
