I love Edward.

Edward Sexby I should maybe clarify! ;) Short clip here from the very beginning, for anyone curious.

I can't wait until tomorrow, but on the other hand I don't want it to end! *clings* (I've not written anything in the way of reviews about The Devil's Whore, but it's a brilliant and utterly compelling piece of TV. If it's released on DVD I'm very, very tempted to buy it!)

Changing subjects completely, Suicide Note by [livejournal.com profile] anagraphic is probably the darkest and most heartbreaking Torchwood vid I've ever seen, but I still think you should all go watch it, because it is excellent!

(It is possible that there was something else I was going to say, but I've forgotten it. See you later!)

Glad you enjoyed The Devils Whore - I will admit I was looking forward to it, but having watched episode 1, I didn't bother. It somehow failed to grab me.

Yes, there are some great actors in it - but somehow, something was missing!

Off to watch the vid!

I did like the vid - yes, you were right to rec it, but also right to say it was sad. But I am so glad I watched it.

I normally like costume dramas, although missed Tudors as I was out on that night.

Rome wasn't a period of history I was bothered about - so didn't watch.

I think with The Devils Whore, I have great memories of watching By The Sword Divided when I was a teen, so maybe that's where I was missing that something.

Yes, it is great we are all different - and having friends with different thoughts is great.

I've only watched last week's episode and I was hooked, it's well written and what a great and complex character is Edward Sexby. The last Civil War story I saw on TV was "By the Sword Divided".

I didn't get into it - and wondered if it was cos I had enjoyed By the Sword when I watched that.

I loved By the Sword and I've got the book of the first series somewhere. I could never make my mind up which daughter I liked. They were both irritating and thought they were right, sounds like my daughters.

Unrequited love! I'm there. Especially last week.

I'm wishing right with you. The cinematography is gorgeous too.

The only other UK drama I'm watching right know other than this is Apparitions, the rest is crap.

It has a 'grubby' Old Masters feel. I love it when the cinematography is daying something too.

Can't comment on the Catholic correctness of Apparitions, but I do enjoy stories that occupy that world even though I'm an atheist. Must have added demons, of course.
