Birthday post.

kathyh, gamiila and lillianmorgan for the cards (LM - yours hasn't arrived yet, but it's nice to have something to look forward to). And a HUGE thank you to the_royal_anna! You spoil me FAR too much! *smooches* And as if all this wasn't enough I got THREE fics!!! And between them they manage to cover pretty much everything (and every 'ship) I love about the Buffy 'verse:

stormwreath wrote an AtF (/post-apocalypse) Spike&Angel drabble, that incorporates like *everything* I adore about those two into 100 words. Read and marvel: But then again, too few to mention.
girlpire (!) wrote me Spuffy (!!!!!!). The most gorgeous, heartbreaking pitch-perfect S6 Spuffy: Salvaged.
Go read all three (and that's an order!) and tell the authors just how amazing they are!

RL wise I had a lovely birthday too and got some lovely things (although a couple haven't arrived, thank-you-very-much-postal-strike! Squee! The postman just brought one of them!). But my parents' present came, and it was a whole load of Peter Wimsey books! :) Also went out with Darcy and children and did some shopping & stuff and spent time with my in-laws (my s-i-l has the same birthday as me) and then had a lovely dinner made by Darcy. Everything was pretty much perfect, in other words, until The Cherub woke up at around 3:15 am and threw up all over our bed (that was just the start.../TMI). *laughs* OK, it was a pain at the time, what with barely being awake, and having to change all the bedding, but 2-year-olds are just so darn robust. As soon as she'd got rid of what was bothering her, she was just sat up chatting and smiling. Kids - who'd have 'em?
Finally, part 2 of 'AYW+One' stopped hating me and started eating my head instead (bringing smut!), and is currently with my (incomparable) beta. Expect it as soon as I can find the time. :) Have also been working on 'Not The Last' and will post Chapter 4 shortly. (::waits for 5 people to go 'yay!' and the rest to shrug and go away:: Ah well - I love you 5!)
And, just before I run, I have to mention my icon that the impossibly talentedruuger made for me. Because as soon as I have my AYW fic and the Who fic out of the way (before Nov 1st I hope), I shall concentrate on 'Divided Destiny' and nothing else! (This is the sequel to 'Maybe Someday' that I've been working on on-and-off for what seems like forever. But I have it ALL planned out now and am itching to write. And isn't the icon gorgeous? Don't you want to find out what happens to my Spike (and Angel and Buffy and Illyria and...)? *g*)
