First a massive big
to all of you - yesterday was just such a brilliant day and I'm still walking about with a big silly grin on my face! :D Virtual baby showers are the best! (Also it gave me a good excuse to do very little except hover around the computer - always good!)
But today there is a birthday, so let me say:
Happy Birthday
I hope you have a brilliant day - and for once I guess I can wish someone a Buffy-shaped present! :)
Today is also mine and Darcy's wedding anniversary - 8 years already! Although it sometimes feels like more... anyway, no great festivities tonight since he's laid up in bed with a tummy bug! I guess it's a nice reflection of the whole 'in sickness and in health'.

lillianmorgan wrote me a little baby shower fic. And I thought it'd be nice to share it with you all - I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! :)
Present for Elisabeth
I pick up the phone and dial in the telephone number. After seven rings, I hear, “Hello Angel/Slayer Co-ordinated Investigations!”
“Er, hello, er, Angel. Um, my name’s LM and I have a bit of an unusual request,” I say.
“Unusual requests are our business, ma’am,” says Angel, very politely and professionally.
“You’re so sweet. Would it be possible to put Spike on the line?”
Rather large grumbling noises, followed by a muffled cry, “Buffy, put Spike down. He’s wanted on the phone.”
Please, if you will, gentle viewer, conjure up the mental picture in your mind of the sexy swagger, coat swirling around his ankles, lips curling and head tilting in anticipation as our beloved divine black-clad superhero walks to the phone. - Hey! Andrew will you get out of this story please! - “Hullo, luv.” Insert ::wibble:: here.
“Hi Spike, nice to talk to you again. Listen, I have a big favour. You remember elisi, right?” I ask brightly.
“Sure, pet. She’s the one that writes those great stories. Read everyone one of ‘em. Particularly liked the one about me gettin’ my own back on Captain Cardboard,” he replies proudly.
“Right, so about this request-”
“She’s great, that elisi, she thinks I’m teh sex and all hot like, and,” ok now? he’s probably running his hand down his black T-shirt, as he adds in a super sexy silky deep voice, “I really like that about her.”
“Ho-okay. Onto this request.”
“Request?”
“Pay attention, Spike! Today some friends of Elisi’s are celebrating her baby shower-”
“She’s with sprog? No-one ever told me. Is she off the market then?”
“Er…” quickly scrambling for time to try and answer that question, “huuummm, yeah. Well, what I’d really like is if you were able to come today to the baby-shower, as organised by the lovely pfeifferpack, and wish her well. Here’s the invitation-”
“Oh pfeifferpack. Know her as well. Me and Buffy get up to quite a bit in her fic too. Hmmmmmm…..”
“Er, Spike, could you put Angel back on for me please?”
“What? Oh sure, kitten.”
Some shuffling, breaking, weird noises go on as it sounds as if a cordless phone gets thrown across the room and then I hear Spike’s muffled and gleeful cry of “Fetch like a good doggie, my dear Peaches!”
Finally, “Hello? LM are you still there?”
“Aww Angel, thanks for taking the time to get back to me. Listen, I was explaining to Spike but maybe you’d better take the details down. Now this is it….”
