I'm actually doing a re-watch of Doctor Who at the moment, have made my way to season 3 Same here! :D It's the world's slowest re-watch, but it's been interesting. Mind you, we skipped the end of S2 (I am watching with the youngest, who has just turned 16) and she found Ten/Rose increasingly hard to cope with. However Martha is awesome, so all is well.
I don't mind getting Davies back as a showrunner. Between him and Moffat, I preferred Moffat way of telling stories, but there is plenty of good stories and episodes in Davies first run as well. I am mostly curious as to what he'll do differently now. Obviously Moffat's my favourite, but also Moffat was so much work and I'm not sure I have the energy for that again. (At least not yet.)
In general I am just excited for someone else than Chibnall, I don’t think he was the best choice for Doctor Who. I STILL don't understand where it all went wrong. He basically ran S1-2 of Torchwood, he is a competent writer, he loves the show and yet... *hands* It's very strange. Anyway, here's to the future!
