I'm actually doing a re-watch of Doctor Who at the moment, have made my way to season 3 and I don't mind getting Davies back as a showrunner. Between him and Moffat, I preferred Moffat way of telling stories, but there is plenty of good stories and episodes in Davies first run as well. In general I am just excited for someone else than Chibnall, I don’t think he was the best choice for Doctor Who.

Mind you, we skipped the end of S2 (I am watching with the youngest, who has just turned 16) and she found Ten/Rose increasingly hard to cope with. However Martha is awesome, so all is well.

I am mostly curious as to what he'll do differently now. Obviously Moffat's my favourite, but also Moffat was so much work and I'm not sure I have the energy for that again. (At least not yet.)

He basically ran S1-2 of Torchwood, he is a competent writer, he loves the show and yet... *hands* It's very strange. Anyway, here's to the future!
