Lyrics )

“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.
"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

Went to town this afternoon with my older girls, buying stuff for their trip/pilgrimage to Lourdes. (Every year the diocese has a Lourdes pilgrimage. School/college kids go too, to help out with the elderly - they essentially spend a week pushing around wheelchairs, and it's a brilliant experience.)

Anyway, it was lovely and they are just such great people to spend time with, so I'm going to stay away from the depressing reality of the current politics for a while, and just be thankful for my lovely family. We are all healthy and well, and we are very lucky.

Also, Absolutely Fabulous is om Netflix, and we're going to watch Heathers tonight. :)

This doesn't quite scan, but then I did write it in about 2 minutes flat...

And isn't it ironic - don't you think...

That the peeee-ople
Who voted Leave
Thought they could restore
Their Great Britain
But all they di-id
Was hasten its death
'Little Britain' is all we'll have left...
