elisi: (Captain Jack by kayim)
I'd rather leave this to a later time, but I realised that it's Thursday and there'll be more tonight, so I better get this down.

First of all - this episode felt as if it was beamed in from a completely different show, something like 'The Life and Times of Captain Jack Harkness'. It still wasn't Torchwood, but at least it was interesting.

Spoilers and such )

elisi: (River)
I made myself a new banner! Because it struck me that 'Intellect and romance triumph over brute force and cynicism' is 'Let's Kill Hitler' is a nutshell (that title will never not be funny!), and I wanted something new. :)

Also, I want to recommend a spy drama I watched the other night called 'Page Eight' by Sir David Hare, and which was just utterly delightful. Beautifully written, acted and filmed, and - despite the rather heavy subject matter - very light and pleasant to watch. Also it starred Bill Nighy, Michael Gambon and Rachel Weisz, and quite frankly I could have watched them forever! <3

It's got 3 days left on iPlayer, and I'd say catch it if at all possible. 100 minutes very well spent!
