The Cherub found a WHSmith giftcard a short whole ago. I explained what it was - that you could put money on it and give it to someone, and then they could take it to that shop and buy something. She thought this was a wonderful idea. But then asked, holding up the card and studying it intently:
"So what side do you put the penny on? The black side, or the other one?"
♥ ♥ ♥
Some day, I swear, I'll die from the adorableness!
~~~
In other news, Miss M has already finished Jane Eyre and is now reading Skulduggery Pleasant. Heh. And she's up to the baseball part in Twilight. Oh! That reminds me:
Yesterday morning we were watching an animal programme, which included a segment about bats. Impish Girl commented on how ugly they were, and I asked whether she'd ever heard about a *pretty* bat. Miss M instantly said: "Edward! The bat that sparkles!"
I would LOVE to see that...
Another fic rec!
13 October 2010 09:40 pmThis time a truly DELIGHTFUL classic Who fic from the Three era:
Grant Me Just a Little Speech by Primsong.
Summary: The Master kidnaps Jo to use her for ransom, but gets an earful instead.
Just totally fabulous! Also lives up to its 'All Ages' rating. I showed it to Miss M earlier and she loved it, and then read it aloud to Impish Girl for her bedtime story, and she giggled the whole way through. (I must get hold of some Three era DW - I think she'd *adore* Jo. They seem... quite similar! *g*)
