So, some of you might remember that I posted the original version of this ficlet early last year, mere days after Matt Smith had been revealed as the new Doctor. Mostly, I must admit, because the idea of a very young-looking Doctor amused me, and thus I had to poke affectionate fun at him. However, I had nothing to go on personality-wise, so my Eleven was very Ten-ish.
But recently I thought that I ought to re-do the story with a 'proper' Eleven, and thanks to
the_redjay, who devoured the entire Seeker 'verse this morning (*is very impressed*), I finally decided to do something about it. So - here you are! *crickets* Ah well, it amused me! (Jaybird if you want it, this fic's for you!)
Title: The More Things Change...
Characters: Eleven, OC.
Spoilers: None. (S3 if you want to be pedantic.)
Setting: AU.
Rating: PG.
Word count: 860 words.
Genre: Humour, fluff.
A/N: Set in my Not the Last 'verse, which is hugely, massively AU. In brief, this is a few days after the Doctor has regenerated (remember: AU! The Master doesn't die, and there's no 'S4', no Donna, no JE, no EoT, no Amelia - AU. Dunno how my Ten died btw *handwaves*). The Seeker (the Master’s son, brought up by the Doctor) is at this point around 150 and still in his first body, looking middle aged (he has spent most of his life living in linear time, so a lot more time has passed for him than for the Doctor, although in this 'verse the Doctor spent a lot more time as Ten than he did in canon).
( This way for silliness... )
