Speshul day!

2 lovely birthday ladies today, both of whom help make LJ the amazing place that it is: poshcat and moscow_watcher! I hope you both have a truly fabulous day, because you certainly deserve it!

poshcat was one of my first LJ friends, and someone who has enriched my life immensely, just by virtue of existing! (And if you have not read her fic, then your fannish life is *incomplete*! Go! Hot, funny and brilliant - like the lady herself! *smooches*)

moscow_watcher is one of the wonderful people who helps keep fandom alive with her fabulous meta, fic & icons, and by always being friendly and supportive too. Also a staunch Spuffy shipper of course, although I have managed to lure her over to the evil S/B/A camp. ;)

My Immortal. Prologue.

Here it is, finally. Well the very beginning anyway... Most of the timelines from the different canons fit together pretty perfectly, but there is one major inconsistency as well as the problem of how and why did Jack chose to become 'The Immortal'. This prologue attempts to weave all these things together in a way I hope you think works (behold, I can create plot out of nothing! *g*). So lots of set-up I'm afraid - the next chapter will tackle actual canon stories. :)

ETA: Completely forgot to mention that this is all scarlettgirl's idea! I hope you like what I've done. :)

Summary: Captain Jack Harkness *is* The Immortal.
Setting: Pre-series. (all of them)
Spoilers: All of S3 of DW and (eventually) S2 of TW. (This part: 'Utopia', DW 3.11)
Rating: PG-13.
Genre: FitB, character study, BtVS/AtS/Doctor Who/Torchwood crossover.
Pairings: Will mostly focus on Buffy/Immortal, but other canon pairings will pop up too.
Word count: 4100+ words.
