Children are a wonderful thing! Sunday we went to the Science Museum and Little Miss M (who's 7) insisted that she wanted to see the medical stuff. As we walked round the exhibits we saw one of those teaching figures/dummies (dunno their correct name) that you can open up to study the insides. This one was quite old and made of wood (I think), but life size and open so you could see the lungs, stomach, intestines etc.

Impish Girl (4 y.o.) looked at it and burst out laughing:
"Bwah! He's got this brain in his pants!"

I tried to explain the difference between intestines and brains, but wasn't very successful, what with shaking with laughter.

And now I will resume my lurking! :)

Goodness knows when I'll get near the computer again, so here's a little funny thing I came across in the AOQ thread for 'The I In Team' (re. Tara). (comment by mariposas, capital letters and punctuation mine)

Spell Tara backwards and you get a rat.

Tara is projection of Amy sent by Ethan to get Willow to de-rat Amy-rat.

This is leading up to the season finale where the forces of science and order represented by Adam and Riley battle with the forces of magic and chaos represented by Amy and Tara as they battle for Willow's soul - the wicca nee computer geek straddling the two worlds.

The rose incident is a foreshadowing of the blood of Willow being skewered by Adam, who was trying to kill Buffy but missed, and Willow lays dying until she transcends and becomes a goddess.

Season Five is the dawning of a new age, with oh my goddess Willow searching for a way to her own paradise dimension filled with mochas and puppies and kittens and macintosh powerbooks.

Season Eight has the second nudie musical in which the words heart and on and wood are used in a whole new way, giving us insights into vampire sexuality we would rather have not seen (Cindy Williams has a cameo as Tina the Wonder Turnip).
