I like to keep people guessing...

Hmm, was it the awkwardly-inserted white dude played by Martin Freeman?

For me it's not about arc, just who is she is/what she does. Doesn't need an arc, she is just 100% awesome. :)
And my answer to "Killmonger or T'Challa?" is of course "Nakia".
Totally. (Or maybe M'Baku... *g*)
God, such a good movie.
Mmmm. ♥

That's fair! We all look for different things in a favorite character and both Okoye and Shuri are indeed 100% awesome. :)

I will wait for fandom to give me Steve and Okoye talking about the loyalty soldiers owe their country, or Nakia and Nat trading spy stories, or Bucky helping Shuri in her lab, or Sam talking through issues of abandonment and responsibility with T'Challa like Killmonger might have if he was way less traumatized and way more emotionally mature.

Yeah mine too, although so many to choose from..I rather liked Nakai and Shuri. Actually what I adore about that film and why it is better than the others is -- it's the only film to showcase four different strong women, with vastly different skills, and abilities. We have the Warrior, the Scientist, the Mother/Nuturer and the Diplomat/Spy/Negotiator. The women are actually more varied than the men. Also they aren't all about the guy, they are all about saving their country.

Yes, a superhero film that writes female characters as PEOPLE! It's amazing. <333
(I will try to hunt down your posts, I remember you wrote a lot about this movie.)

Yeah, he was v pretty, but his story was pretty standard? Like, zero surprises there. (The whole being a black African King aside of course. Not saying *he* wasn't revolutionary.) But the women were where it was at! ♥
