Nope, it wasn't a bad dream. Country still fucked
Oh and 2tn wiped off the markets.
(I should get off the internet, I'll just get angrier & more depressed...)
EU Referendum: #NotInMyName trends as country wakes up to Brexit (3 million of us who couldn't vote. THAT WOULD HAVE SWUNG THE VOTE. Not to mention the young people. Both my 14 and my 17 year old are MILES more informed than the average adult.)
Remember that time Nigel Farage said 52-48 votes should lead to second referendum?
(I think I hate Nigel Farage more than is entirely healthy...)

Oh, and these ones hit close to home...

One of my co-workers (she's just turned 30) had never heard of the suffragettes. I'm serious.
Not surprisingly, she voted Leave. :(

Hope you told her congrats on breaking the economy and causing needless suffering everywhere. Gods.

Mind you, no one spoke about the referendum in the office on Friday. The topic was suspicious by its absence.
Which was good, because I don't know if I'd have shouted or cried or just become bitingly sarcastic.
Mind you, I think they were all very much symptoms of the Leave campaign's success. We spoke about it (briefly) on Tuesday I think, and one of them mentioned the '£350 million we send to the EU every week' and I pointed out that 'IT'S A LIE!' and 'WE GET BILLIONS BACK' but what can you do?
I hope they never ask, because I can't lie.
("How are you?" "Furious. And working on getting dual citizenship for my children so their lives won't be completely fucked up! Thanks for asking.")

that wouldn't make it worse?!?!.Gahhh, I'm so crossing my fingers for your wee ones. I want them to have the best you can give them. And dual citizenship seems the right move to me!

This. The only comment was from a manager from a different area who happened to walk through, and who said "Well, apparently the lunatics have taken over the asylum..."

I am trying to read up on it. They may have to live in Denmark for a year. *ponders*

I think that would be an entirely justified response . . .

The fact that these people actually used those 'Let's spend all that money on the UK instead' lines... And one of our banks - IN ONE DAY - lost as much money as we've been sending to the EU in a year, to pick just the most recent example.
