And now I have met *three* LJ friends...

Yesterday (Saturday) [livejournal.com profile] kerkevik_2014 came all the way down from chilly Scotland to sunny Yorkshire to visit! (Well, he arrived Saturday morning. He set off Friday...)

And it *was* sunny - which was extra lovely, as the weather has not been particularly brilliant otherwise. (Both Friday & today have been full of rain & wind.)

We traipsed round an art gallery & did some shopping and after lunch went for a lovely walk along the canal.

In the evening we watched a nice selection of different things (Horrible Histories, Community, the first episode of Inferno* and the first episode of Orphan Black), and spent the rest of the day just talking. :)

Kerk is, I think I can safely say, a proper eccentric in all the best ways, and entertained us all. (Using this icon as an example of a delightful eccentric. Kerk too wore a hat, which earned him Impish Girl's admiration. It was a very good hat, and had a Betty Boop ribbon!)

He is safely home again now with his 3 kitties (who are all gorgeous, I have seen photographic evidence!) and here's to hoping we'll meet again. :)

I meant to post earlier, but there was a lot bus pass that needed finding... It was found in the end, but there was panic. And then there was a little person to put to bed.

Mostly then it's always lovely to meet people 'properly' and all I can say is that so far LJ has not let me down. Clearly it attracts the best people!

*He brought Inferno down for me (us) to borrow, which - as I have never seen it - was very thoughtful, and judging by the first episode it is utterly delightful. (Pertwee & Bessie on their own are worth the price of admission.)

That would be great. This summer is the tenth anniversary of your persuading me to get an LJ of my own! I would love to meet you in person.

Who knows where the time goes? You were expecting a baby, I recall...

I do indeed, and that icon being as new as the Cherub. My babies are now in their mid twenties, which is terrifying.

They tell you how fast they grow, but you don't really believe it. And then they have.
