I don't normally post adverts, but...
Blurb: This year’s Christmas ad from Sainsbury’s. Made in partnership with The Royal British Legion, it commemorates the extraordinary events of Christmas Day, 1914, when the guns fell silent and two armies met in no-man’s land, sharing gifts – and even playing football together.
It's just gorgeously made.

There is also a movie about this, have you seen it? I only saw it in TV in German dubbing, but always wanted to get the DVD to see the English and French original language.

I'm sort of conflicted, because it's an advert... But then, it's so gorgeously made. And shows the spirit of Christmas far better than penguins.

No, not managed to catch that.

It really is lovely. If not quite accurate, it certainly captures the spirit.

I've heard about the story before; the video brought it (back) to life.
Makes you think there is still hope for humanity. Even if that was a long long time ago.

And - despite all the fighting in the world today - Europe, at least, is mostly at peace. That's good. <3
