That school kid barred from his school for wearing a suit similar to Christian grey is just stupid. Can't the school see the irony in that.

“They wanted him to be James Bond [who] ironically is a very promiscuous character who kills people. So I don’t know who is worse of the two.”

This! I thought the costume was hilarious.

(Also I must admit I've never heard of World Book Day before--perhaps not so global as the name presumes?--but any day that encourages people to dress up is a plus in my book)

I think that Halloween over here generates the same sentiments among parents. Except it is not usually forgotten until the last minute due to kids being ridiculously excited about trick-or-treating.

Oh my gosh - I wonder if the kid even knew who Christian Grey was X_X;

I think it was missing the spirit of the event to dress him up as Christian Grey to be honest, World Book Day is supposed to be about celebrating books and encouraging kids to dress up as their favourite literary characters. It is an eye catching costume, but he apparently only knows of Christian Grey from media discussion of the film (according to his mother he hasn't read 50 Shades Of Gray anyway!), so it sounds like it was more his mothers fav book and her idea to dress him up as Christian Grey, instead of him choosing someone from a book that he had actually read?

Well, I certainly hope that kid isn't aspiring to embody his costume.

In other news, Michelle Gomez is my people.

MISSY!

ROFL, a kid dressed as Christian Grey… I don't know if I'm more "half amused, half headdesk" at the notion or the school's reaction. ;)
