This! I thought the costume was hilarious.

(Also I must admit I've never heard of World Book Day before--perhaps not so global as the name presumes?--but any day that encourages people to dress up is a plus in my book)

I think that Halloween over here generates the same sentiments among parents. Except it is not usually forgotten until the last minute due to kids being ridiculously excited about trick-or-treating.

As you say, Halloween is easier to remember... World Book Day sneaks up on you. Plus Halloween just needs to be scary - World Book Day is supposed to be book-centric. That makes it difficult.
