Too good not to share.

My favourite Christian Grey story so far:

Schoolboy barred from World Book Day over Christian Grey costume.

And, related (World Book Day wise, not 50 Shades):

World Book Day costumes: fun for children, horror for parents (SO TRUE!!!)

Finally, obligatory Doctor Who World Book Day story:

NEW VIDEO! What do you think Michelle Gomez (Missy in #DoctorWho) is reading on #WorldBookDay?

The problem (as the other article points out beautifully) is that it's not easy to dress up your child up as a story book character. (Unless you go with Harry Potter or just a Disney Princess.) Creating costumes on books your children like/have read is... complicated. We managed a good Hermione one year, and attempted an alien from a Doctor Who book another, but generally you tend to go for the easiest option.

So the sheer cheekiness of the Christian Grey thing speaks to me on several levels.

(Yes it's supposed to be about books. But it ends up being about frustration and 'What the hell can we throw together that looks semi-decent?')
